3-Ingredient Cookies for Humans or Dogs

Our rescue dog is a beagle-chihuahua named Cleo. She ran out of dog treats recently, so instead of buying more I decided it couldn’t be that hard to make our own dog treats.

I know she loves peanut butter and bananas and oats, so those are the ingredients in these cookies.

She loves them, as do the humans in the house! It’s a nourishing, no-refined-sugar treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free quick oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter

Directions

Mash the banana and mix with the oats and nut butter.

Form into little disks on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Bake at 350F for 15 minutes. They will get a little bit golden.

Cool and enjoy! Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge or freezer.

Inspiration

Even in the depths of winter, there are beautiful miracles of nature to be found.

At this very moment, a little red fox is curled up in the snow in our backyard, taking a nap in the sunshine.

I stopped writing to just watch it sleep for a few happy minutes. Finding little moments of joy in nature fills my heart and my day with so much nourishment.

May you find joyful moments of nature to experience today.
